•I have a wide range of experience in a variety of occupations/jobs.
•Currently I am looking for work and am available for anything.
•This past year I worked in the construction industry on building envelope restoration projects (known as leaky condos in the Vancouver area). I have four years of experience in that line of work.
•I was a stay-at-home-dad for six years and assisted my then-partner in running a home based business (www.buggybag.com), a web based business catering to the needs of parents with infants/toddlers in strollers. During this time I worked as freelance photographer for various community newspapers in the lower mainland, BC.
•Previous to my college education in Journalism at Kwantlen College in Richmond, I was working at the now defunct Eurocan Pulp&Paper mill in Kitimat, northern BC as a lift/clamp truck operator, a heavy machinery operator driving front end loaders & bulldozers and then as a pipe fitter apprentice. One year into that serious lower back injury put cancelled on that endeavour.
•Prior to that I tree planted for a season; worked a few years as a forklift operator at a paving stone factory and at an oak furniture manufacturer in the lower mainland.
•My interests have always been creative with photography as one of my earliest hobbies. Art and sculpture/wood carving and woodworking are also dear to me.
•I enjoy spending time out doors, camping and exploring various parts of BC.
•I also like to travel and have visited Germany (where I grew up) a number of times over the last three years.
•I speak, read and write English & German.
•Writing is something I enjoy doing & photography is never far from my mind.
•Over the course of the last two years I have explored photography through the unique iphone device and the various apps that enable a wide range of looks and photographic feel of an image. I am a bit obsessed with photographing old and interesting bicycles wherever I see them and use iphoneography (iphoneographythis©) to capture unique bicycle imagery.
